Parent Opportunities

Founded to support the community of La Salle Institute, the original La Salle Parents’ Club was dedicated to fostering community and camaraderie among families and perpetuating the philosophy of the Christian Brothers schools, with close cooperation between school and home.

Dedicated parents remain an active, critical component in the extracurricular services and support of our school. In recent years, this community has developed into Activity and Committee-based volunteer groups. The work of our parent volunteers contributes significantly to our school - both financially and by developing a sense of true community.

List of 3 items.

  • Auction Committee

The Auction is La Salle’s premiere annual event and our biggest fundraiser! The Auction is held each March and includes a two day online auction, followed by an in-person celebration.  Planning requires many volunteer hours and includes several subcommittees for gift and donation coordination, decorations, advertising and sponsorship, and night-of support. Meetings are held starting in September and then at least monthly up until the event.
  • Booster Club

The La Salle Booster Club supports the school's athletic programs and its student athletes by providing financial support and by promoting awareness, pride, and excitement among the parents, alumni, faculty and students of our community. This is done by sponsoring events and increasing La Salle spirit and attendance at school sporting events. The Booster Club helps coordinate Homecoming weekend activities, the annual Cadet Open Golf Tournament and the Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner; funds raised are used to purchase athletic equipment and improve sporting facilities. Meetings are held starting in September and run once a month.
  • Holiday Sale

Holiday Sale parent-volunteers arrange for the annual Christmas sale of greens, poinsettias, cheesecakes and Hoffman Car Wash tickets.  Volunteers are needed for administrative support to process orders and assist with order setup/pick up.
