Guidance Counselor (Grades 9 & 10)- Immediate Opening

La Salle Institute is seeking a 9th & 10th grade guidance counselor who will be tasked with providing both academic and behavioral support to students, as well as short term social & emotional support. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in education, guidance, social work or school counseling. A master’s degree is preferred. Previous experience as a guidance counselor is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work in a team environment, have a passion for working & experience working with students and be open to professional growth. Finally, the candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the Lasallian mission and be able to successfully work with teachers, parents and administrators in order to help students find success both in and out of the classroom.

Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach

La Salle Institute is seeking a qualified and experienced varsity girls soccer coach. The candidate will be responsible for running the entire girls soccer program as well as serving as the head varsity girls coach.  The ideal candidate should have prior experience as either a coach or player, have exceptional leadership and communication skills, a deep knowledge of soccer and a positive and energetic attitude. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, hold a valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification and have a deep understanding of La Salle’s mission and philosophy. Also, the ideal candidate should possess an understanding of NYPSHSAA/Section 2 rules, guidelines and regulations.
Additional job responsibilities are, but are not limited to the following:
  • Developing workout and training regiments and oversight
  • Monitoring student athlete academic progress
  • Working closely with the school Athletic Director and Principal
  • Supporting and adhering to the mission and values of La Salle Institute
  • Planning and scheduling practices and games
  • Developing, constructing and maintaining a competitive girls soccer program throughout all levels.
