(TROY, NY) – La Salle Institute will honor its graduating class of 2021 with a formal, in-person ceremony featuring Christopher P. Gibson, Ph.D., President of Siena College, decorated combat veteran and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, as the keynote speaker on Friday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony will take place outdoors on its athletic field.

"It is an honor for me to deliver the Commencement address for La Salle's graduating Cadets," said Dr. Gibson. "LaSalle has a tremendous record developing future leaders and I look forward to taking part in their ceremony, as the seniors and their families - as well as the La Salle faculty and staff - celebrate this life milestone made all the more special by the commitment and positivity they have shown in the past months during trying circumstances. I wish them all the best as they head into their futures."
Siena College will welcome five of La Salle’s graduating seniors this fall.

"This is an opportunity to pause for a moment and let our seniors know how important they are to our La Salle community and how proud we are for how they have persevered.  This group of exceptional Cadets faced extraordinary challenges yet completed their junior and senior years with distinction and commitment. They excelled in academics, athletics, maintained relationships with fellow students and their teachers, and continued to support their communities while complying with health and safety protocols.  I have no doubt they will go on to have great success in college and life," said La Salle Institute President and Principal Joseph Raczkowski '72.

Members of the class of 2021 were collectively accepted to 117 colleges and universities in 21 states and the District of Columbia and earned 163 scholarships totaling more than $11.9 million over four years.
To remain compliant and adhering to all CDC and NYS guidelines, attendance is invite-only to ensure the students, staff, and families' health and safety. The ceremony will be live-streamed to accommodate those unable to attend in person.
