Parents' Club
Founded to support the community at La Salle Institute, the Parents’ Club remains an active, critical component in the extracurricular services and support to the school. The La Salle Institute Parents’ Club mission is threefold:
- Contribute to the school’s operating budget, capital and/or endowment funds
- Provide a community atmosphere for the La Salle family
- Perpetuate the philosophy of the Christian Brother schools with a close cooperation between school and home
Our activities include hosting several school functions, providing administrative support at school and athletic events, and conducting various fundraisers that total more than $100,000 annually.
The Parents’ Club is dedicated to fostering community and camaraderie among families and meets on a monthly basis. These meetings are held in the school library and are open to all parents and guardians.

The annual Auction/Gala is one of the main fundraisers conducted by the Parents’ Club and will be held on March 25 at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy. The evening includes dinner and silent and live auctions. The event requires several subcommittees for general management, gift/acquisitions, decorations, advertising, sponsorships and event night.
The drawing will be held June 30th, 2017. One Chair is required to prepare and mail the raffle ticket flyers.
Tickets are sold from June through December for the chance to win a new Ford Mustang. The drawing is held in the beginning of January at a school sporting event.

The Committee arranges meals and/or refreshments for a variety of school functions. Volunteers are needed to plan functions, solicit donation of meals and refreshments. They will also work at the functions including set-up, service, and clean up. Traditionally the sale has been one night at the end of the school year. Families can donate their gently used uniforms; gently used uniforms can be purchased at a greatly reduced cost. The committee arranges for the annual Christmas sale of citrus, greens, poinsettias, cheesecakes and Hoffman Car Wash tickets. Volunteers are needed for administrative support to process orders and coordinate with vendors. Volunteers will also be needed at school on December 2nd for set-up, and December 3rd for customer pick-up. The Committee provides administrative support to the Parents’ Club and school. Volunteers are needed to assist with communications (telephoning, mailing, computer entry, etc.) and assisting with various fundraising activities such as the Race for Education and the Magazine Drive for our Brother School in Africa.
