In the Past, the LSI Drama Club has presented an Evening of Cuttings Drama Coffee House in the fall which featured various scenes from classic to contemporary comedies and dramas in a Coffee House setting.
Students in Drama Club take part in all aspects of play production including set construction, costuming, and make-up.
Ms. Maffia-Tobler brings over 35 years of experience in theater to her role as La Salle's drama coach. From directing academic productions on the high school and college level to performing in summer stock and with various acting companies, Ms. Maffia-Tobler's goal is to introduce students to the limitless world of drama.
This year, the Drama Club presented a winter production of Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology, which featured classic folk music accompanying a diverse and challenging array of characters. The members decided to follow up this production with Dial M for Murder, a murder-mystery about a husband's plot for revenge against his wife. With both plays successfully under their belts, the members of the La Salle Drama Club eagerly look forward to next year's performances.
