Dear Visitors,
I would like to welcome you to La Salle Institute's Mathematics Department's web page. The mathematics department at La Salle operates under a success oriented program in which we strive to meet the individual student's needs through continual development of new courses within three ability tracts. These tracts are named Accelerated (Honors), Advanced Regents and College Preparatory. The tracts are geared toward the greatest fulfillment of the individual's aptitude and operate completely within the overall philosophy of La Salle Institute.
The department believes in the fostering of the individual's work habits through a structured classroom and homework policy. The department believes in developing proficiency in problem solving and decision-making techniques to enable the student to compete successfully in the modern world.
The department accomplishes these tasks through the use of tested instructional practices, state-of-the-art technologies in the classroom and a genuine care and concern for each of our students.
