To All Visitors:
The guidance department provides services in order that the schools educational goals can be achieved more easily. Its objective is to assist each pupil to such an extent that he will be in the optimal condition for learning. This is achieved by dividing the department into three sections. Grades 11-12 College Placement, dissemination of information and preparation for PSAT and SAT exams, college fairs, college interviews, diagnostic testing, letters of recommendation for colleges, scholarships, counseling and interviews throughout the year. Grades 9-10. Counseling and interviews throughout the year. Special emphasis is placed on orientation of new students, study and career skills, and monitoring progress through adolescent growth. Grades 6-8. Counseling and interviews throughout the year. In addition to orientation of new students and monitoring growth through early adolescence much work is done to help the students to develop strong study skills with a view to preparation for high school.
